Cape Fox, subsidiary Mountain Point is seeking a qualifiedProject Manager. This candidate will beresponsible for day-to-day project management, including planning, coordinating, integrating, monitoring, and driving all project activities and milestones per plan; ensuring the maintenance of technical communications and business files; monitoring and reporting schedule variances from plan; appraising impact of variances; recommending and implementing corrective actions; and maintaining client communications. This position reports to the Senior Project Manager for Mountain Point, a construction company. Work will be performed primarily within the Southern United States (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Florida). General construction work will include building renovations and repairs; new construction; pre-construction services, IT and physical security upgrades; electrical, plumbing and HVAC; and demolition. Civil and utility work will focus on specific electrical and underground water infrastructure (e.g., potable water, storm, sewer) and all associated earth moving services.

The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, scheduling, organizing, directing and controlling assigned construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget. The employee will provide management of projects, personnel, and clients with focus on project management, personnel management/mentoring, and business development. The Project Manager provides overall direction to a project or group of projects of considerable size, scope and complexity. The employee ensures the accurate completion of all work products, proper quality control / quality assurance measures are in place consistent with corporate guidelines, and work procedures are performed in a safe manner.

The Project Manager is responsible for management and oversight of self-perform projects and work performed by subconsultants and subcontractors. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall financial performance relative to project-specific budgets. will be the direct liaison with the Government Contracting Official on-site as well as directing the daily activities of subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with contract documents, safety rules, and quality/security requirements to maximize production and eliminate disruptions and downtime. The employee will ensure the construction schedule and budget are kept in accordance to plan. The Project Manager will support the management of the Contractor Health and Safety Program (for purposes of this requirement, the Health and Safety Program is equivalent to Safety and Occupational Health Program in EM 385-1-1,U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Duties include:



  • Supports Space Coast Sr Project Manager or fill in for Sr Project Manager as needed.
  • Assist Sr Project Manager and coordinate with Superintendents with tracking of contract documents and resolving field-generated questions across concurrent projects.
  • Analyze and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and other technical documents to ensure project accuracy.
  • Assist in preparing project schedules based on estimated hours, tasks, milestones and resources to ensure meeting project criteria.
  • Develop plans and monitor progress as well as budget, cost, and schedule for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors ensuring submittals are complete and correct prior to forwarding to government.
  • Coordinate site-walks with subcontractors and government, clearly identifying the time, location, and purpose of the meeting.
  • Monitor safety and quality standards and inspect worksite locations to verify compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Oversee the selection and management of subcontractors and maintain regular communication with key project stakeholders.
  • Actively prepare and manage the RFI process ensuring answers are received in a timely manner.
  • Perform buyouts/procurement for projects and ensure deliveries will be on time considering products may not be in stock and will need to be manufactured or shipped from overseas.
  • Responsible for coordinating project close-outs, O&M's, as-builts, and warranties in conformance with contract documents.
  • Coordinate and conduct final inspections with government contracting and civil engineer personnel
  • Submit as-builts on finished projects
  • Manage close out process and warranty responses with Site Superintendent


Work Environment

Primary work will be supporting construction efforts on U.S. Government contracts at military installations. Site Superintendents typically work full-time in a variety of settings, including offices, facilities or construction sites. The work typically involves considerable travel and fieldwork, and the employee can be exposed to dangerous or stressful situations. The employee must use safety equipment to minimize the risk of illness or injury.
