System Programmer (System Programmer I)

Work Location: Fort Eustis, VA

Cape Fox is seeking a highly qualified professional to join our team in support of a government customer. The System Programmer will provide database programming sustainment support for a government customer. Work designated as technical support offers a wide variety of technical and engineering services and expertise required for planning, architecture development, instruction, technical environment support, cybersecurity, and execution and assessment of the C4I necessary to support requirements. This position is contingent upon award.



  • Crestron Programmer Certification
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience, of which at least 3 years must be specialized. (i.e., IT systems analysis and programming)


Core Duties:



  • Create and or maintain operating systems, communications software, database packages, compilers, assemblers, and utility programs
  • Modify existing software and create special-purpose software to ensure efficiency and integrity between systems and applications
  • Responsible for tasks related to information systems, engineering, database management trained in Micro Strategy BI architecture, desktop and web development, Sybase, Microsoft SQL Server, and programming languages in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Web and Directory Servers, Domain Name Servers, VMWare vSphere Servers, Microsoft SQL Servers/Database Servers, and Real Virtual Network Computing Protocol Servers
  • Programming experience in ASP. Net, Transact Structured Query Language, Virtual Basic.NET, Cascading Style Sheet Scripting, and the design/implementation/maintenance of Web Parts
  • Responsible for tasks related to in design/development/maintenance of Platform as a Service in a cloud environment
