Job Purpose

Sanmina is privileged to have a strategic supply relationship with a Strategic Account that spans multiple products and geographies and that has enormous growth potential.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of Sanmina's relationship with the Strategic Account (commercial, operational and relationship matters) by working with Operational groups within the company as well as by the team of professionals that will be dedicated to managing the Strategic Account relationship.

Create and execute a detailed strategic roadmap to drive growth with the Strategic Account on a global theater, by understanding the Strategic Account requirements and working with the appropriate groups within Sanmina to craft and execute plans to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Specific responsibilities will include:




  • Starting with the existing Program Management resources assigned to the Strategic Account, build an effective high-performance organization that is staffed with the right type and quantity of resources to effectively support the account and that complements the plant operations organizations.





  • Provide strong day-to-day leadership and management of all direct reports/resources to ensure that the team is effective in taking good care of existing business and is executing all steps required to grow profitable new business.





  • Creating, maintaining and executing detailed customer specific plans to drive extraordinary growth; and assisting in "closing the deal" when required.



  • Work with Plant leadership in a matrix-management environment to ensure operational excellence across all aspects of our business with customers. Set high standards.



  • Ensure the achievement of financial goals for revenues, profitability and asset management for Sanmina's business with the Strategic Account.



  • Manage risk in business by mitigating it where possible and communicating clearly within Sanmina.



  • Provide the organization with strong market feedback on technology, pricing and performance levels. Help to shape competitive strategy.




Education and Experience

The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:




  • A 10+ year track record of success in commercial, program management or engineering roles for companies with best-in-class machining and engineering operations; preferably with key customer relationships energy storage/distribution equipment.



  • A track record of growth that is indicative of strong financial, commercial skills as well as strong customer presence.



  • Ability to push, engage, motivate, and lead others. A leader who is not afraid to set bold expectations and work within a matrix environment to drive the organization to achieve these high standards.



  • A visionary and passionate leader who can inspire, communicate and influence in a professional yet "down-to-earth" manner to effectively gain trust and support across the company and customers



  • Track record of forging strong customer relationships with large 'blue chip' multinational corporations.



  • Comfortable in C-suite conversations with Customers, ability to communicate effectively in verbal, written and presentations modes.



  • Strong presence and charisma.



  • Ability to balance short-term and long-term objectives



  • Highly entrepreneurial executive with a track record of results and integrity who thrives in a fast-paced, hard-working culture



  • A flexible work style that can move fluidly from "the big picture" to the details with the natural predisposition to "roll-up his/her sleeves"



  • Demonstrated track record of developing skills in team members to create a high-performance group; sets, drives and meets aggressive goals for herself/himself and those around her/him.



  • A true team player with the ability to "stand his or her ground" when challenged and who can push back in a constructive manner




Educational and Industry Background:




  • A degree in Engineering or Business is desired as is a reasonable knowledge of precision fabrication/assembly & engineering process or relevant manufacturing experience. Customer experience is essential as are strong financial, communication and inter-personal skills.

California Only Salary Range(annual): $140,000 - $180,000
