  • Days: Monday - Friday
  • Times: 6:45am - 8:55am and/or 3:39pm - 6:00pm
  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Hours may vary
  • $12.50-15.00/HR depending on experience
  • Child care fee waived for any worker who is working as a SACC aide during the time the eligible student is in SACC

Reports to: S.A.C.C. Director

Position Summary

Supports the Director to insure the best possible learning experience for school age children in a safe and secure environment while maintaining confidentiality.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Duties may include crafts, games, stories, lunchtime, etc.
  • Assist in planning and organizing daily events.
  • Monitor children on the playground.
  • Communicate with community, staff, and students to answer questions, disseminate or explain information.

Experience:



  • Experience working with children's groups and/or training in early childhood development or childcare, preferred.



Knowledge:



  • Knowledge of school policies and safety regulations, required.



Skills:



  • Good communication skills, required.


Abilities:



  • Ability to be caring, understanding, and friendly towards students, required.
  • Ability to relate to children with special needs, required.
  • Ability to read and interpret school policies and handbook, required.
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and community, required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds of files, materials, computer and audio visual equipment, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus, especially due to concentration on a computer screen and small numbers.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
