Evanston, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job Department: Temp Center Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Part-time Senior Editor for the Evanston campus. Northwestern University Alumni Relations and Development is seeking a part-time (20 hours/week) Senior Editor to join our 18-person Marketing and Communications team on a temporary basis (through April 2025 with the possibility of extending). The position will be hybrid, with in-office days spent in our Evanston office. The estimated pay range for this position is $40 -$45/hour. Reporting to the senior associate director of editorial content, the senior editor will review, edit, proof, and develop engaging copy for Northwestern alumni and donor audiences. Projects range from publications and e-newsletters to event marketing materials, web copy, captions, promotional emails, fundraising collateral, and more. Desired qualifications include 6+ years of editing experience, a strong command of editorial style (Chicago Manual of Style and/or AP required), attention to detail, and communication skills; the ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and complete projects on deadline; and the ability to write compelling short-form and long-form editorial copy. Experience in higher education and fundraising organizations, in marketing and related fields, and with inclusive language are a plus. To apply, please submit both a cover letter and resume.
