Requisition ID req30731 Working Title Coord,Clinic Position Grade 08 Position Summary Best Consideration date extended to 11/4/2024 The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The Autism Programs at the CDD is a large, multi-faceted program with multiple funding streams and projects that support individuals with autism spectrum disorders and their families to live the life of their choosing. This is accomplished through clinical evaluation/diagnosis, extensive community training, consultation and other forms of technical assistance. The Autism Programs will be expanding our clinical efforts to include a multidisciplinary team assessment for individuals suspected of ASD, ASD/IDD and mental health challenges. The Clinic Coordinator may be assigned to provide support to any of the pediatric outpatient clinics at the CDD including the Autism Spectrum Evaluation Clinic (ASEC), the Feeding and Eating (SAFE) clinic, Fetal Alcohol spectrum Disorders Program, Neurocognitive Assessment Clinic (NCAC), the newly developed NM START clinic and any other clinical services in the Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities division. The Clinic Coordinator will be a part of a team that support clinic functions, scheduling in PowerChart, purchasing supplies and materials with a UNM purchasing card, processing travel reimbursements and other financial activities. They will perform a variety of clinical administrative duties including receiving and responding to clinic phone queries, data entry, running queries for internal reporting purposes, prepare standard forms and documents, and assist with editing and proofing documents. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Demonstrated patient or customer service skills in a clinical setting with experience handling private information and maintaining confidentiality. Computer and software skills, with demonstrated ability to learn new software programs. Knowledge of medical records management and billing procedures. Bilingual (Spanish/English) speaking skills. UNM or other university work experience.
