Requisition ID req30648 Working Title Admin Assistant 2 Position Grade 07 Position Summary PLEASE NOTE: This position is for the UNM Gallup Branch, located in Gallup, NM, approximately 138 miles west of Albuquerque, NM. The University of New Mexico has established branch colleges to serve the citizens of New Mexico and to provide the highest quality of education for students pursuing post-secondary education at different locations throughout the state. Branch colleges respond specifically to the unique needs and multicultural backgrounds of their respective communities by offering community education programs, career and technical education including certificate and associate degree programs, and transfer programs that prepare students for upper division entry into colleges and universities. The UNM-Gallup Business and Applied Technologies Division and Workforce Development is seeking a highly motivated individual to work as their Administrative Assistant. This position requires the employee to perform a variety of administrative and staff support duties that involve a range of skills and knowledge of organizational policies and procedures. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting and directing visitors, as well as resolving administrative problems and inquiries. The Administrative Assistant also composes, edits, and proofreads correspondence and reports, with the ability to professionally prepare a range of administrative documents. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications
