Position Summary

The University of New Mexico, Health Sciences
Center, Department of Internal Medicine, seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible
faculty member to join the Division of Rheumatology. The Division of Rheumatology actively
participates in teaching of medical students, residents in multiple
specialties, and a fellowship program.

This
position is an open rank Professor and Clinician Educator track. Salary and rank will be commensurate with
experience and education.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be Board certified in Internal Medicine
  • Must be Board certified/board eligible in Rheumatology
    within 6 months of hire
  • Successful completion of a Rheumatology
    Fellowship
  • Must be eligible to work in US
  • Must be eligible for a medical license in the
    State of New Mexico

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Evidence of clinical experience/interest in clinical
    service
  • Experience/interest in education
  • Evidence of Rheumatology publications
  • Demonstration of excellent teaching ability
  • Experience or recognition of the rheumatologic
    needs of the diverse State of New Mexico and the rural Southwest
  • Evidence of experience of research in Rheumatology
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity,
    inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse
    communities
