Job Summary:
This appointment will be in the 2025 to 2026 Pediatric Radiology Fellowship Program receiving advanced training in Pediatric Radiology. Responsibilities: Fellowship responsibilities include supervised interpretation of fundamental and complex diagnostic imaging for children in all modalities, with provision of diagnostic imaging reports, to include review of patient charts and other relevant information as it relates to imaging interpretation; participation in routine communications and consultations with referring providers; regular participation in pediatric multidisciplinary conferences; guidance of imaging technologists during image acquisition; preparation for fluoroscopic and percutaneous procedures, including obtaining patient/family consent; and, supervising and teaching junior leaners such as radiology residents and medical students. Work will be carried out primarily at the University of Wisconsin American Family Children's Hospital, with a minority of work provided at UnityPoint Health-Meriter Hospital. Overnight and weekend shifts are incorporated into the fellowship to enhance experience with acute care cases and augmented independent functioning as the fellowship progresses. Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in clinical research and/or educational projects with the aim of submitting scholarly work for either publication or for meeting presentation.
