PRINCIPAL RESONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a quality program is in place that meets or exceeds the standards required by our customer and/or the Company. This person will report directly to the Site Manager and/or Quality Manager and evaluates maintenance actions to ensure safe and reliable aircraft components and support equipment are provided in accordance with current PWS, technical manuals, directives, and instructions applicable to the maintenance program. They will monitor department safety and directs program/process audits to include CSEC, PMO, and work center audits as directed by the Site/Quality Manager and contract requirements.

The candidate will need to be able to employ in-depth knowledge of Maintenance and Quality Assurance procedures. Be responsible for a thorough knowledge of aircraft components, accessories, and support equipment. They are also responsible for an in-depth knowledge of applicable company, and government maintenance/technical manuals and publications, technical directives, safety procedures, support equipment, and special tools, and for a thorough knowledge of applicable contractual requirements. Must have the ability to research and read and interpret drawings. They be required to write with clarity and technical accuracy.



  • Administers the program from a Quality perspective in accordance with standards and contract requirements.
  • Promote, implement, and monitor the V2X Quality Management Philosophy throughout the department.
  • Maintains daily liaison with the Site and Quality Managers, Government team members, and on-site personnel to address issues relative to the Quality Assurance Program.
  • Determines the level, and type of quality audits needed through daily statistical analysis of problem areas.
  • Provide a systematic and efficient method of gathering, analyzing, and maintaining information on maintenance and material defects that impact the AIMD production effort.
  • Review incoming technical publications and directives to determine their application to the Maintenance Department.
  • Evaluate existing methods, procedures, and/or systems for any potential process improvements or cost savings.
  • Establishes necessary controls to ensure the quality procedures apply to the site and ensure the production of acceptable end products that meets and/or exceeds customer specifications and contractual requirements.
  • Review contract requirements and statement of work to ensure compliance with quality standards as required.
  • Perform quality review of any proposed contract changes, modifications, subcontracts, and purchase orders to ensure compliance.
  • Perform as the Technical Data Management Officer and provide oversight of the Central Technical Publications Library.
  • Monitor the trend analysis program to identify adverse trends and take action to correct any adverse trends identified.
  • Investigates and adjusts to customer complaints regarding quality.
  • Establish a technical task forces to investigate trouble areas and provide recommendations for corrective action.
  • Be familiar with ISO 9001 and AS9100/9110 Quality System Standards.
  • Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to program quality and reliability.
  • Monitors the performance of assigned staff to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Exhibits positive courteous behavior with customers, businesses, and coworkers.
  • Assists coworkers and those in other departments to successfully perform job tasks and functions when necessary.
  • Follows all safety procedures and practices as established by the Company and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide technical assistance to Quality Assurance Representatives and production personnel who are required to make QA decisions. Periodically accompany QAR's on inspections to monitor and evaluate their performance.
  • Review NALCOMIS Reports/Inquiries, MAFs, WOs, DRs, and hazard reports for discrepancy trends and specific problem areas in areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinate with the DBA/SA to develop discrepancy trends and applicable charts and graphs necessary that depict quality performance and assist in determining root causes of sub-standard performance and developing recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure QAR's are briefing contractor and field maintenance teams on the Tool Control Program and FOD Prevention Program requirements, and report discrepancies to the appropriate program managers.
  • Establish and maintain liaison with other maintenance and rework activities to obtain information for improving maintenance techniques, quality of workmanship, and QA procedures.
  • Monitor contract compliance by all maintenance activities through the audit and surveillance requirements as defined in the Company Quality Manual.
  • Ensure Product Quality Deficiency Reports, Hazardous Material Reports, Technical Publications Deficiency Reports, and Explosive Mishap Reporting are submitted as required.
  • Provide site Quality Assurance Monthly Data Report to Site/QA Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all established general and industrial safety rules and regulations as applicable to the contract, facility, and job assignment.
  • Ensure all Maintenance Instructions (MI), Policies, and Procedures are complete and current prior to distribution.
  • Provide communications and coordination for the site with the Madison PMO as required.
  • Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards.
  • May be required to perform other reasonably related supervisory projects, initiatives, or managerial duties as assigned or when directed.


POSITION SCOPE AND CHARTER



  • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years aircraft maintenance experience, three (3) years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
  • Working knowledge of current ISO 9001 and AS9100/9110 Quality System Standards.
  • Extensive working knowledge of aircraft maintenance and flight operations gained through broad management experience in the oversight and management of aviation programs.
  • Ability to communicate accurately and concisely on technical matters, both orally an in writing.
  • The necessary leadership and management skills to direct Quality Assurance personnel to comply with established policies, procedures, and operations.
  • In depth knowledge of contractual programs, company organization, policies, and procedures.
  • Must meet any other qualification standards imposed by the government contract not covered by this agreement.
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
  • Must be able to work weekends, other shifts, and overtime as required.
  • The essential physical requirements of the position will be reviewed with the applicant during the interview.
  • Some travel will be required.
  • Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.

  • This classification activity is usually accomplished in an office-like environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with office activities.
  • May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 30 pounds.
  • May be required to be in areas where high noise hazards prevail.
  • May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.
  • May work near moving mechanical parts.
