To plan, coordinate control, and perform facility maintenance operations on buildings and finishes throughout PHS facilities Major emphasis shall be placed upon preventative and predictive maintenance, cyclical maintenance, safety, infection control, and facility aesthetics. Ideal Candidate: High school diploma or GED required. One to two years experience as a painter preferred.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- One to two years experience as a painter preferred.
- Must have a valid NM drivers license and be insurable.
Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible and accountable for performing procedures in painting, wall repairs, tile (vinyl and ceramic) repairs and replacements, minor Mondo repairs, casework, stucco, and Corian repair, and Graffiti removal/repair in a timely manner as prescribed in Facility Services Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Continuously improves technical knowledge and skills through participation in educational programs and in-service meetings.
- Ability to prioritize tasks. Must be able to understand and operate under supervision while adhering to established Presbyterian Healthcare Services and Facility Services policies, procedures and schedules.
- Supports organizational visions, values and strategies.
- Accurately access finishing needs and make appropriate recommendations.
- Responds to repair requests promptly and is capable of restoring most finishes to near original condition.
- Paints efficiently and creates/maintains aesthetically pleasing environment.
- Maintains a high level of quality and quantity of work.
- Work with interior and exterior finishes, hang sheet rock, tape, drywall, acoustic ceiling and different texture applications. Able to repair / replace stucco damage and match existing textures.
- Work with floor tile, ceramic tile and wall tile, concrete and synthetic finishes.
- Perform patient room restorations addressing all finishes, and fixtures, as well as identifying mechanical and electrical repairs (resolving most issues without requiring additional staff resources).
- Identify and repair issues in water-tight construction (showers, expansion joints, exterior sealants, stucco).
- Create any required repair work orders.
- May perform general maintenance duties as assigned
