Provide routine respiratory therapy responsibilities; administer and monitor oxygen therapy to patients.

Qualifications

    BLS Required at Time of Hire
  • High school plus trade or vocational school in Respiratory Care.
  • Requires New Mexico Respiratory Care training permit and BLS certification.
  • Less than one year experience in Respiratory Care.
  • Must be CRTT eligible or currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory program


Responsibilities

  • All Pulmonary Technician I responsibilities.

  • Maintains and ensures oxygen administration to patients and implements oxygen therapy protocol.

  • Administers routine respiratory care responsibilities, to include nebulization, Chest PT, IPPB, etc.

  • Performs diagnostic procedures to include EKG, bedside spirometry, nocturnal oximetry and ABGs.

  • Assists in cardiopulmonary resuscitation
