Responsibilities
Define and drive the cloud architecture strategy and roadmap, aligning it with business objectives and technology trends. Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing cloud adoption and usage. Lead the design and implementation of cloud architecture solutions, considering scalability, reliability, security, and cost optimization. Develop architecture frameworks, design patterns, and standards. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the cloud architecture team and other technical stakeholders. Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud technologies, industry best practices, and emerging trends. Evaluate different cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and recommend the most suitable platform based on technical and business requirements. Develop strategies for multi-cloud and hybrid cloud scenarios. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement integration strategies between cloud-based systems and existing enterprise systems. Ensure seamless connectivity, data flow, and interoperability. Define and enforce cloud security controls, ensuring adherence to security frameworks, compliance requirements, and industry best practices. Lead cloud security assessments and audits. Identify and implement measures to optimize the performance and scalability of cloud-based systems, including network architecture, database design, and application performance tuning. Develop cost optimization strategies, analyzing cloud usage and costs to identify opportunities for optimization, resource right-sizing, and automation. Implement tools and processes for monitoring and optimizing cloud spend. Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including business leaders, IT teams, and external partners, to align cloud architecture with business goals and foster technical innovation. Provide clear and effective communication on technical matters. Stay informed about emerging technologies, cloud trends, and best practices. Lead innovation initiatives, driving the adoption of new technologies and approaches to enhance cloud architecture. Sounds like you? To apply you need to be: Experience & Education Masters/bachelor's degree in information & computer science, Statistics or a quantitative discipline in science. 12+ years of cloud and automation experience in Azure and automation tools 6+ years' experience working in Automation and DevOps. 6+ years' experience with Scripting languages for Azure (ARM, CLI, PowerShell, Terraform, etc) 5+ years of architecture design, implementation, and support of highly distributed setups (ensure high availability and reliability) 3+ years of experience in migrating on-premises workloads to the public cloud Technical Skills & Competencies Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Extensive experience in cloud architecture design and implementation, with a deep understanding of major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Strong expertise in designing scalable, highly available, and secure cloud solutions across various architecture patterns and services. Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (such as Terraform or CloudFormation), scripting languages (such as Python), and automation frameworks. Experience with containerization technologies (such as Docker and Kubernetes), microservices architecture, and serverless computing is preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire technical teams and stakeholders. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and effective cloud solutions. Proven track record of leading and delivering complex, large-scale cloud architecture projects. Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, staying up to date with industry advancements, and applying them to cloud architecture design and implementation.
