The Clean Energy and Infrastructure Advisory (CE&I) team within JLL's Public Institutions Group is seeking a Senior Advisor for Loan Origination to provide support to our US Department of Energy client. The CE&I team provides high-quality financial advisory services to public agencies, lenders, and investors on financings primarily in the transportation, energy, and water infrastructure sectors, as well as other sustainability technologies. The team works primarily with government clients and advises them on matters related to complex financial structures, including non-recourse project financing and public-private partnerships (P3s), as well as municipal and corporate financings. The team regularly serves as financial advisor on infrastructure financing transactions ranging in size up to $2 billion and provides other related services, including project development, procurement assistance, financial feasibility analysis, risk management assistance, restructuring and workouts, loan portfolio management, and programmatic assistance. Preferred Locations: Washington D.C., New York City - Hybrid schedule Provide assistance to senior level client management on loan origination, due diligence, financial structuring, negotiations, and funding commitment associated with high-value loans for; (i) innovative or commercially ready clean energy generation, (ii) manufacturing projects, (iii) e-mobility, and (iv) advanced technology vehicle and component manufacturing projects. Assess credit risk of prospective borrowers and guarantors of projects to determine viability of loan repayment.. Manage or participate in deal origination teams, supervising the technical, legal, regulatory, economic, commercial, and financial feasible aspects of a transaction from in-take phase, due-diligence, presentation to credit committee for approval, negotiation of loan terms, and funding. An ideal candidate for the SVP, Loan Origination will have the ability to lead and communicate effectively and be capable of establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with federal agency staff and employees. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the financial analysis, financial structuring, due diligence, underwriting, and origination activities to support the Federal Loan Programs Office. Lead the interaction between DOE-LPO and the applicant throughout the entire process from intake review and due diligence to the closing of the loan. Provide strategic direction and guidance on ways to enhance processing speed and execution of loan origination and expand service delivery to the client, including leveraging partners, internal collaborations and the broader JLL team. Conduct, and/or review overall financial and performance analyses, financial modeling, financial structuring, deal documentation, and all aspects of due diligence for projects applying for a loan. Support Origination Division in gathering information on specific transactions and aggregating, compiling, and presenting this information. Assist personnel in gathering information on specific transactions, sectors, and industries and aggregating, compiling, and presenting this information. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of ten years of originating, analyzing, negotiating, and/or structuring financial transactions. Equivalent years of experience with Master's degree preferred. Demonstrated experience building,and managing relationships and negotiating with financial institutions (institutional, global, development), corporations, and government agencies. Experience in existing and emerging clean energy markets is highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to successfully plan, organize, lead, and monitor team efforts to completion.
