Position Summary:

Yeshiva University High School for Boys/MTA is looking for a dynamic, caring, organized, knowledgeable and thoughtful Hebrew Language teacher to teach in a full-time capacity for the 24-25 academic year. We have a strong Foreign Language Department, led by our Chair Ms. Tova Rosenberg, who has developed a strong culture of teamwork, learning, and collaboration amongst the Foreign Language team members.

Skills & Competencies:

- The ideal candidate will first and foremost be passionate about student growth, and have a warm and engaging personality that can be used in developing meaningful relationships with each student.
- They will have mastery of educational pedagogy and the subject matter, but will also be strongly motivated by continued opportunities to grow and develop as an effective educator.
- Candidates should have experience in teaching Hebrew Language---Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing, and Literature.
- Candidates should have experience integrating technology in the classroom and the ability to differentiate instruction and to work with a range of different levels in the classroom.
- The ideal candidate should have a passion for teaching foreign language in High School.
- The candidate should have a mastery of Methods for Teaching Hebrew as a Foreign Language.
- The teacher should create a learning environment where students are motivated to learn and use Hebrew.
- The teacher should develop learning experiences which are dynamic and engaging and where inquiry, curiosity and exploration are valued.
