Position: Accounting Manager

Experience: A minimum of 5+ years accounting experience with an emphasis on DCAA / DCMA compliance and audit.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.

Compensation Range: $98k - $140k depending upon education, skills, and experience.

The Accounting Manager reports to the Senior Director of Business Functions and will be responsible for managing Government Compliance in Timekeeping, Customer Billing, Indirect Rates, Job Costing / Revenue Recognition, and various audit activities. Manages accounting staff with business unit level requirements as well as support for various enterprise level needs. Additional activities include Capex, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable, Inventory and Reporting / Management related functions.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversight and responsibility for cash, billing, accounts receivable, prepaids, accounts payable/accrued liabilities, inventory costing, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets.
  • Supervisory functions of accounting staff.
  • Government Billing Lead.
  • Government Compliance Coordination.
  • Reconciliation of Sub-Ledger, General Ledger Account Balances.
  • Inventory, Contract Cost, Revenue Recognition and Operational Accounting.
  • Compliance review and analysis of internal controls and assessing areas of opportunity.
  • GAAP, DCAA, DCMA Compliance, and audit management.
  • Preparation of Financial Statements, Program and Operations Centric reporting.
  • Assist in preparation of financial reports and analysis in support of management reporting, forecasting, external financial reporting, quarterly reviews & the annual audit.
  • Assist in the documentation and execution of internal controls in support of corporate SOX compliance program.
  • Support of internal controls related to physical inventory counts and cycle counting.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures and sharing best practices across the organization.
  • Participate in system implementations and testing as needed, identify process improvements, and support efforts to streamline business processes.
  • Timekeeping Management.
  • Assist in forecasting Cash and budget vs. actual analytics.
Required Experience / Capability:

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and maintain composure and good working relationships under pressure.
  • Effectively manage schedule and priorities with minimal daily direction to meet mid to long-term schedule objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field and 5+ years of experience in accounting.
  • Ideal candidate has 3+ years' experience in a government contractor environment alongside internal controls and cost accounting.
  • Intermediate to advanced usage of MSOffice (Excel, PPT, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.
  • Organized and efficient.
  • CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.
