The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach works in conjunction with the Head Coach in supporting the 16 sport programs at
UNC Asheville to implement all aspects of training including scheduling, supervision, training environment, motivation, and goal setting for individual athletes and assigned teams. The Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in developing and implementing year-round, sport specific training programs-including resistance, cardiovascular conditioning, and flexibility, agility, and speed programs- to maximize athletic performance and limit injury potential. The Assistant Coach supports, communicates, and collaborates with team doctors, athletic trainers, nutritionists, and other specialists to enhance the physical development of student-athletes. Regularly assesses and refines programs to maximize positive results. |
