About you

As the Lead Critical Facility Electrical Technician in Columbus, OH, you work at a high-profile Data Center; you're a working Foreman who is responsible for electrical installation and maintenance work in the construction phase and go-live phase of a new data center build. This role support's Colliers mission for 100% facility uptime and requires strong critical environment electrical skills, safe work practices, and routine conduct of hands-on operations and maintenance work on a variety of critical facility systems and equipment within the critical environment.

As the expert, your work requires strong formal conduct of electrical installation of branch circuits, technical expertise, personal accountability, personnel management, and flawless execution of work activities commensurate with a high-risk critical environment and associated expectations for exceptional customer satisfaction and confidence.

In this role, you'll have

  • An ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of the data center.
  • An ability to perform estimates on customer electrical installation requests, oversee material ordering and execution of approved project work.

  • Flexibility, including the willingness and ability to readily respond to changing circumstances and expectations. Openness to new ideas and willingness to follow scripted procedures.

  • Exercise good judgment, strategic agility, and good decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work well as a part of a team and to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to lead through influence and be a proactive partner with a strong customer service orientation who builds relationships by building trust.
  • Solid work ethic and integrity, able to work effectively and be self-directed.
  • Experience pulling wire and termination into MTS switches, bending conduit, and submitting new circuit permit requests.

What you bring:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years' experience in performing electrical work in industrial, commercial, or critical facility operations.
  • 2+ years' experience in a lead electrical role.
  • Working knowledge of critical data center systems, standby emergency power, uninterruptible power supplies, and associated infrastructure.
  • Trade school diploma or certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work from heights.
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines.
  • Experience with multiple versions of Microsoft Office Suite.

Bonus skills and experience

  • Journeyman License (preferred)
  • OSHA 10 certification, OSHA 30 (preferred)
