Echocardiographer - Cardiac Sonographer

This position performs cardiac ultrasounds (echocardiograms) on adult or pediatric patients according to departmental protocols at MCC campus, Outpatient Cardiology and outreach facilities, if appropriate. Pediatric Echocardiograms are only performed by a Pediatric trained Cardiac Sonographer. The Cardiac Sonographer assists with information management, training of professional and paraprofessional staff, research, patient monitoring, and image quality review and have input into inventory and equipment purchases. This position requires independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the application of non-ionizing, high frequency ultrasonic waves to diagnosis heart disease.

On-call: Not required.
