Performs administrative and programmatic activities that support faculty role and responsibilities related to teaching activities in the Dallas nursing programs. Coordinates, manages and implements program-related activities, following policies and guidelines. Work is performed under general supervision of the Associate Dean and performance is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Associate Dean
Supervises: May supervise program staff, volunteers, and Student Assistants
ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but not limited to the following:



  • Develops and maintains databases relevant to the academic programs.
  • Monitors activities to assure compliance with policies and guidelines.
  • Demonstrates proficiency with technology through various program activities.
  • Utilizes effective communication skills with students, faculty, administration, and others.
  • Collects data for reports.
  • Provides administrative and programmatic support to faculty.
  • Prepares student letters along with timely distribution to appropriate university offices and students.
  • Resolves office-related technology issues to ensure functional office equipment
  • Creates and updates records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
  • Provides administrative support to all faculty teaching in the academic programs.
  • Schedules meetings and events.
  • Assists in daily office needs of faculty.
  • Submits requests for purchase of office supplies
  • Maintains a filing system for data on customers and external partners
  • Distributes incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Answers and redirects phone calls.
  • Makes faculty travel arrangements and prepare reimbursement documents.
  • Prepares university RTAs for faculty conducting student clinical site visits and ensures appropriate routing for faculty reimbursement
  • Provides adjunct faculty support for course-related teaching assignments
  • Manages queries from university departments, faculty and students.
  • Files and updates contact information of students and clinical agency partners.
  • Coordinates upload of undergraduate course syllabi and faculty CVs.



ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Performs other duties as requested.

Bachelor's degree in education, technology, business, or other related area. Master's degree preferred.

Five years of administrative experience in business, education, technology, or other related areas. Experience in database development and technology preferred.

Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position.

  • Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally, by phone, in person, and in writing.
  • Ability to represent the programs, department, and University in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Proficiency with technology including but not limited to use of computer and other office equipment.
  • Knowledge of office policies and procedures

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
