The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, seeks to hire a Post-Doctoral Fellow to provide school-based behavioral consultation services to partner schools and to conduct ongoing scholarly work related to a U.S. Department of Education - Institute of Education Sciences (IES) sponsored randomized trial titled the Efficacy of Paraprofessional Behavior Support Coaching for Elementary School Students with Externalizing Behavior Disorders. This position is a grant-funded position beginning July 1, 2021. The primary responsibility of the position will be to (a) provide leadership via consultation to paraprofessionals and classroom teachers in selecting and implementing data-based behavioral interventions for students with or at risk for Disruptive Behavior Disorders and (b) generate scholarly journal articles. The hire will have opportunities to obtain post-doctoral clinical hours, publish journal articles, and attract extramural funding with a highly supportive multidisciplinary research team (school psychology, education, special education, and measurement/statistics).

Minimum Education and Experience

Candidates must have a doctorate in School Psychology, Special Education, or other related degree in education and experience in school-based behavioral consultation. Interpersonal skills for working with school personnel and a collaborative research team are highly valued.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Prior research experience and experience working with students with or at risk for Disruptive Behavior Disorders teachers is preferred
