Helps patients that are experiencing mental illness or psychological distress through psychiatric evaluation and follow up medical management. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. M.D or D.O. degree, completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Psychiatry2. Valid license to practice Psychiatry in the state of West Virginia, or applicable state where services will be performed.EXPERIENCE:1. Two (2) Years of direct patient care in psychiatric settings


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Previous experience in Community Based Psychiatry, Outpatient Clinics, and/or working with a variety of ages and diagnoses including substance use.

1. Provides direct client care including psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis2. Participates in treatment planning process from initial treatment plan through discharge for assigned cases.3. Records appropriate data in clinical record, including organizing written reports, narratives and/or dictated material as necessary.4. Provides clinical supervision and consultation to non-medical staff.5. Covers for other physicians as needed due to planned or unanticipated needs.6. Participates in medical meetings, etc. and other meetings that relate to patient care and protocols.7. Participates in activities relative to clinical work as appropriate, including routing monitoring and evaluation, focused peer review, policy development, and/or committee membership.8. Review laboratory reports.9. Makes appropriate referrals and coordinates medical services with consulting physicians10. Utilizes a range of clinical interventions appropriate to the population while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction
