Rutgers The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Student Assistant for the Department of Pediatrics at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The primary purpose of the student assistant position is to support research that focuses on understanding and promoting optimal child development among vulnerable children.
Among the key duties of position are the following:
- Ensures accurate and timely input and management of interview, survey and focus group data.
- Recruits potential participants, and obtaining informed consent in clinical and community settings.
- Conducts interviews and focus groups.
- Assists with data collection, basic analysis and preparation of abstracts and manuscripts with supervision.
- Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Rutgers' undergraduate/ graduate student.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Must have computer experience including excel.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with children and adults.
- Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

- Ability to speak Spanish desired.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Standing, sitting, walking, talking or hearing. No special vision requirements. Must be able to lift or exert force up to 25 pounds.
