The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology ( GSAPP) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey seeks to hire a post-doctoral fellow for 2022-2023 to work within the Cultivating Compassion Project / ADHD Clinic.
The Cultivating Compassion Project / ADHD Clinic is an innovative clinical center within Rutgers GSAPP focused on treating youth and families from a psychodynamic/mentalization-based perspective. This is an exciting opportunity for a postdoctoral fellow interested in child/adolescent/family treatment, psychodynamic theories, and clinical research.
Primary responsibilities for this position include:
Coordinating the clinic's current clinical research assessing the effectiveness of mentalization based therapy to treat children with ADHD and their families.
Providing direct treatment to youth and families. Supervising and mentor clinical practicum students and research assistants.
Disseminating scholarly endeavors through diverse forums including refereed journal articles and manuscripts.
Writing grants and contracts to expand the ADHD Clinic/Cultivating Compassion Project
Providing administrative assistance to the clinic.
Oversight and management of research and evaluation projects including conducting data collection, data management, analyses, and dissemination.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
Doctorate in psychology or closely related field.
Experience conducting clinical work with youth and families
Experience conducting clinical research and evaluation, particularly in social, emotional, behavioral, or mental health.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of/interest in psychodynamic theories.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with grant writing and as project coordinator, co-investigator, or principal investigator for clinical research projects is preferred
