The Department of Environmental Sciences, School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers University-New Brunswick, seeks a part-time lecturer for its undergraduate program in Meteorology for Spring 2023. Current departmental needs include instructors interested in teaching an air quality modeling course. Professional experience and/or prior college teaching experience in the course topic area is preferred. Examples of course syllabi can be viewed at http://meteorology.rutgers.edu/descriptions.shtml. In your cover letter, please briefly explain your qualifications to teach the course. Please submit a cover letter, resume/curriculum vitae, and names and contact information for three references. You may also upload any evidence of your teaching experience such as sample syllabus or course materials, results of student instructional ratings, or published work. Offers are contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment screenings.

Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required. Demonstrated expertise in the subject matter of the targeted courses. Master's degree preferred; doctoral degree welcome. Teaching experience is highly desirable. Professional work experience is typical for our part-time faculty.

Instructors are expected to prepare the course syllabus, deliver lectures and lead discussions, assess student work in a timely manner, hold office hours, respond to student emails, grade exams and submit final course grades to the Registrar, as per contract.
