Overview
The Rutgers University Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences invites applications for a postdoctoral associate, starting Fall with interests in climate risk, climate risk management, and co-production of research with stakeholder partners.

Supported by a cooperative agreement with the National Science Foundation, the Megapolitan Coastal Transformation Hub ( MACH) is a Rutgers-led, 13-institution hub within the NSF's Coastlines and People program. Working with community partners in the New York City-New Jersey-Philadelphia region, MACH aims to 1) facilitate flexible, equitable, and robust multidecadal planning to manage climate risk, while 2) advancing the scientific understanding of how interactions among coastal climate hazards, changing landforms, and human decisions shape climate risk.

We are seeking candidates with a strong background in climate change from a natural science, social science, economic or decision analysis perspective, who desire to expand their experience in a transdisciplinary research environment.

The position will be based at Rutgers-New Brunswick. The position is a grant-funded annual position, with renewal for a second year expected subject to performance.
