Posting Summary
The postdoctoral associate will work with the faculty director in coordinating academic programing on Women's Human Rights. S/he will plan and teach a semester course that combines classroom lectures and community-based experiential learning that culminates in a symposium for students' project presentations in dialogue with academics across disciplines and invited activists. S/he will provide support to the faculty director in coordinating the Spring course on Feminist Advocacy at the UN, including mentoring a cohort of students in social justice and rights through the implementation of the Global 16days Campaign at Rutgers University. The postdoctoral associate will oversee the day-to-day preparation and setting of the academic infrastructure for lectures (setting online lecture sites), workshops, student projects, and/or processes regarding the planning, preparation, evaluation, and control of communications between partner units associated with the two courses (Spring and Fall). Where applicable, s/he will review the curriculum and write draft edits. S/he will develop and distribute the annual program calendar, operational processes, and program effectiveness evaluation. The associate will Identify and track competitive programs and benchmarks and develop and maintain effective relationships with various communities in New Brunswick, public and private institutions and agencies to assess program requirements, modifications, and/ or innovations. S/he will support the development of income generating summer institute and programming and its implementation and assist in research and other supporting activities. The postdoctoral associate will also carry out routine and semi-routine work within work parameters for and under general supervision upon completion. S/he will develop policy, research studies, and comprehensive planning documents in relation to academic programming, and interphases with relevant RU centers and departments. The associate may also oversee the management of internship and practicum students. S/he will perform professional level work that requires knowledge of program coordination and the application and use of concepts, theories, and terminology.

Minimum Education and Experience
The position requires at least a Ph.D. degree in a related field, with all requirements completed by August 1, 2022.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Understanding of gender, sexuality, race & class and their intersections is essential. The candidate must also have knowledge and understanding of program design, execution, coordination, organization, facilitation, report writing and analysis, and outreach, as well is essential. Working experience with social justice, human rights, global issues and immigrant/refugee communities is an added advantage. The position also requires good communication skills and computer literacy, including use of social media, and excellent research and writing skills.
