Acara Solutions has an IMMEDIATE DIRECT HIRE OPENING for a Shipping and Receiving Associate at our client in Saratoga County, NY.
Our client specializes in the design and manufacture of electronic power supplies and transformers. Their products are used in various industries, including military and defense, industrial, and transportation.

Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Associate performs logistics, administrative, and physical tasks related to the inbound and outbound shipment of goods.
Shipping & Receiving Key Responsibilities including, but not limited to:
  • Verify and maintain records of incoming shipments and prepare items for stock or use
  • Process manual or computer generated paperwork to ensure accurate material counts and documentation
  • Responsible for accurate inventory records, product movement & packaging & shipment of merchandise
  • Determine method of shipment from instructions given by supervisor
  • Load merchandise onto trailers using hand truck or fork lift.
  • Use stencil or address label machine to route merchandise to proper destination.
  • Pack miscellaneous equipment for shipment in appropriate cartons including all appropriate activities like weighing, banding, stenciling, making crates, etc.
  • Operate hand truck or fork lift truck and computer terminal
  • Receive, check and sign for raw stock, parts and other incoming items against purchase orders. Enter correct amount in electronic system and print receiver.
  • Compare identifying information and counts, weighs or measures incoming items.
  • Deliver incoming material to various departments or to stock by hand, hand truck, or fork lift.
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against shipping documents, and inspect for damages or discrepancies.
  • Record all received items in the appropriate system or paperwork and distribute to the relevant departments.
  • Ensure that received goods are properly labeled, tagged, and stored in designated locations.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items according to shipping requirements.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate low stock or replenishment needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse space to optimize storage efficiency and accessibility
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
  • Identify and report any issues or concerns related to product quality, packaging, or documentation.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including cleaning equipment and removing debris or obstructions
  • Promptly report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to supervisors
  • Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including attendance, punctuality, and workplace conduct
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to support a positive work environment and achieve production goals
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents or exposure to hazardous materials
  • Perform tasks according to standard procedures under the supervision of experienced teammates and receive training and guidance as needed.
Here's what you'll get:
Starting Wage: $17.05/hr. - $19.43 within six months
Hours: Four - Day work weeks (Monday-Thursday), 7am-5:30pm, OT as needed

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
1) High school diploma or GED
2) Must have at least one year of recent related work experience with solid tenure.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Forklift experience
  • Experience in working in manufacturing or production / industrial environments
  • Proficient in following work instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Technical training or relevant certifications. MS Excel.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required by production schedules.
  • Self-Motivated
Additional Details:
1) Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands & fingers to handle and feel, reach with hands & arms, stoop & kneel, Lift up to 25 pounds frequently & 5- 100+ pounds intermittently
2) Must be US Citizen (ITAR)
3) All hires must go through pre-employment screening including physical.
