This joint recruitment provides a superb opportunity for building or enhancing a career in clinical research by providing superb research resources, colleagues with a variety of ranks and backgrounds, links to all six health science schools, a large clinical operation, and world-class informatics. The physician researcher will serve as a clinician educator in the Department and as Deputy Director of the Sheps Center's Program on Aging, Chronic Illness, and Long-Term Care.

As a faculty physician in family medicine, you will be an integral part of the department's success. Our team members advance the tripartite mission of the UNC School of Medicine, including excellent patient care, superior teaching, and impactful research. We support our faculty with professional development opportunities in the department, in the institution, and nationally.
