Position Summary
The Department of Health Policy and Management, at the top-ranked Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking applicants for adjunct faculty who are interested in teaching courses in our academic programs (described below). Rank is open and will be consistent with qualifications and experience.
We seek adjunct faculty members who are interested in teaching in both our residential (on-campus) and executive (online) programs in the following areas: accounting, capstone/capstone preparation, finance, global health, health law, health policy, human resources, leadership, marketing, pedagogy, program planning and evaluation, public health, public health informatics, quality of care, research methods, strategy, statistics, and US health care system. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
A master's or doctoral degree in health policy and management, business, public health, public policy, law (i.e., Juris Doctorate), public administration, government, social work, nursing, medicine, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
* Demonstrated commitment to contributing to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.
* Experience in health policy and/or management in diverse settings including health care systems, provider organizations, consulting firms, not-for-profit organizations, government, or universities.
* Experience teaching students with varying levels of academic preparation and experience. (i.e., potentially undergraduate through doctoral)
* Demonstrated interest in the use of teaching methods that emphasize and encourage active student engagement and interaction.
* Experience defining and evaluating competency achievement.
* Comfort with technology that can be applied to teaching and learning enhancements.
* Experience overseeing projects, including practicums and capstone projects, in diverse settings.
* Experience and interest in advising and mentoring.
Special Physical/Mental Requirements
Campus Security Authority Responsibilities

This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
