The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, ranked No. 1 hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and No. 2 hospital in Texas by U.S. News and World Report, is seeking an energetic Nuclear Medicine Physician. The ideal candidate will be board-certified or eligible by ABNM and/or ABR with Nuclear Radiology subspecialty Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) and an Authorized User. The Nuclear Medicine Division, headed by Dr. Orhan K. Oz, provides services at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Clements University Hospital, their affiliated outpatient clinics, and Children's Medical Center. In addition, the division staffs the University Hospital Nuclear Medicine Therapy Clinic. These facilities are equipped with modern dual modality SPECT/CT, PET/CT and PET/MR scanners. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with residents, fellows, and medical students in one of the largest radiology training programs in the U.S. The Nuclear Medicine Division operates a Nuclear Medicine residency and an Advanced Molecular Imaging and Therapy fellowship. The Nuclear Medicine faculty participates in a number of investigator-initiated research studies and Industry Sponsored Trials. Division faculty have the opportunity to engage in scholarly pursuits with faculty in the UTSW Cyclotron and Radiochemistry Program, Medical Physics, and Radiology Research with expertise in AI, SPECT, and PET imaging. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Previous experience in Nuclear Cardiology, Brain Imaging and Pediatric Nuclear Medicine are highly desired.
