In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.

YOUR IMPACT

Corporate Treasury Operations is a sub-division of Corporate Treasury. As a global, multi-faceted and cross product sub-division, the primary objectives are to mitigate payment and liquidity risk through the active monitoring of critical transactions and ownership of the front to back processing across the firm. Corporate Treasury Operations has a unique role that requires interactions across all our firmwide businesses and engagement with external industry bodies. CTO is currently 300+ staff strong globally, with regional presence in Salt Lake City, Dallas, New York, London, Bangalore, Singapore, Tokyo, and many other offices, all working closely together.

The Policy Governance function help set the firmwide payment policies & administers the governance structure over all payment related activity across the firm.

This role will be responsible for helping the established global Payment Governance team to manage the risks seen across firmwide payment activity, working with cross-divisional partners & running a control based governance framework across the firm.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL



  • Partake in and lead payment related forums and working groups.
  • Partner with cross divisional business units to drive a best-in-class control environment, identifying areas for efficiency and improvement.
  • Be accountable and report to global Payment Governance leadership, highlighting key risks, issues, and mitigation activities in a clear and structured way.
  • Become a subject matter expert across Firm payment policies.
  • Use strong planning and communication skills to influence stakeholders and ensure governance is enforced.
  • Partner with other firm risk and control disciplines (e.g., Internal Audit, Operational Risk) to support the firm's overall control objectives.
  • Drive ongoing & new governance initiatives to meet policy and audit standards for the firm globally.
  • Monitor the firm's risk posture, providing cross-divisional management with transparency utilizing reporting/dashboards.
  • Liaise with business managers within the division to ensure payment risk plans are adequate and advise on control options.
  • Be comfortable working in an environment that does not come with a defined list of tasks, requiring a self-starter mentality.
  • Adopt a curious mentality and continuously seek ways to do things better that may not always be obvious to see.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Minimum of 3+ years of banking or consulting experience in a Governance, Assurance, Risk, Compliance or Audit role, preferably within a Payments related function
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas to senior management and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project/program management skills
  • Ability to interact and influence at all levels and across multiple functions within an organization
  • Ability to develop excellent relationships at all levels within an organization
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Strong sense of detail and urgency, with the ability to motivate others to deliver
  • Knowledge of Payments / Cash Management / Liquidity functions within Treasury organization
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100,000-$235,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
