Job Summary

Candidates joining the Systematic Credit Trading desk are engaged in market making and its related functions in US Credit. The desk provides liquidity to clients through a diverse suite of products and channels: portfolio trades in corporate bonds, electronic corporate bond trades on vendor platforms, trades in credit ETFs, and by engaging directly with clients to structure complex transactions.

The desk looks for individuals with strong communication, both written and verbal, strong mathematical skillsets, programming experience, and who are motivated to get hands on experience with algorithmic trading.

Responsibilities



  • Managing desk risk
  • Understanding and analyzing market microstructure, incorporating findings into trading strategies
  • Make quantitative improvements to existing trading strategies, build new models
  • Conduct research on trading cost models, liquidity models, risk models, and portfolio construction methodology


Basic Qualifications



  • Interest in capital markets
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
  • Programming experience in C++, Java, or Python
  • Bachelors or Masters in a STEM area
  • Strong communication both written and verbal
  • Interest in algorithmic trading

    • Prior trading or sales experience in Credit products



Preferred Qualifications



  • Past experience with quantitative research and developing large, scalable systems
