We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Senior Paralegal within our Legal group based in Dallas.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced paralegal to join the Dallas location of the Litigation Group. The ideal candidate should bring a strong background in litigation or arbitration ideally involving oil & gas, midstream and chemical plant operations. The ideal candidate will also have extensive experience managing mass toxic tort and environmental litigation or arbitration, indemnity disputes, and insurance matters.

The position will support in-house attorneys, business principals, and external counsel. The position requires a self-motivated, collegial, and collaborative professional who is a highly motivated self-starter capable of managing projects with minimal supervision. The candidate should have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels within a Company including peers, supervisors, managers, and senior executives-as well as external counsel and vendors.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* Minimum of 10 years experience managing significant litigation or arbitration dockets (arising from chemical, industrial or oil & gas operations) in a major law firm or in-house corporate

setting;

* A background in environmental, industrial accident, and/or mass toxic tort litigation, arising from

chemical industries and/or oil & gas operations, along with experience managing or interacting with insurers and Risk Management;

* Demonstrated expertise in all phases of litigation and arbitration processes (including but not

limited to factual development, incident investigation, docket management and all phases of electronic discovery and the legal hold process);

* Strong sense of urgency and willingness to be innovative in approaching all job responsibilities;

* Excellent written and oral communication skills;

* Functional proficiency in case management and electronic discovery applications, including Relativity;

* Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Visio and Outlook);

* Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate a high volume of matters with minimal supervision;

* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of legal matters;

* Excellent people skills;

* Ability to adapt to change and be flexible.

Candidates must also be able to:

* Effectively communicate and consult with all levels of a corporation and external parties regarding factual development, incident investigation, discovery requests, deadlines, trial, etc.;

* Coordinate with all members responsible for a given matter, case or docket of cases, including in-house and external counsel, Legal Technology Team and eDiscovery Team, and various vendors on all aspects of discovery;

* Effectively complete tasks in a timely manner;

* Assist Legal Team in drafting and implementation of legal holds;

* Coordinate and conduct large-scale document (electronic and hard copy) identification, preservation, collection, review, and production.

* Work on special projects as needed

* Manage competing deadlines and priorities.

Desired Qualifications:

* Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts;

* Functional proficiency with matter management systems (e.g. Onit);

* Proficient knowledge of Internet Research Tools (Lexis, Pacer, Westlaw, CM/ECF, JIMS);

* Willingness to travel as needed.

Relocation will not be provided.
