New Competitive Base Salaries and Competitive Shift Pay for Off Shifts Position Summary At Stony Brook Medicine, a TH Clinical Laboratory Technologist/ Technician is a valuable member of our team, who provides who provides clinical services to our patient population. Will maintain specific knowledge of safe laboratory practices as endorsed by the New York State Department of Health and Occupational Safety and Health Administration and conducts oneself in a manner consistent with those practices to ensure the safety of all lab personnel. Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior patient care and possess outstanding communication skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence. Duties of a TH Clinical Laboratory Technologist may include but are not limited to the following:
Qualifications Required: SL-1: NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or documented eligibility, including provisional/limited permit eligibility with 0-2 years demonstrated relevant experience. SL-2: NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or documented eligibility, including provisional/limited permit eligibility with 2-5 years demonstrated relevant experience. SL-3: NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or documented eligibility, including provisional/limited permit eligibility with a minimum 6 years demonstrated relevant experience. Preferred: Generalist with a strong background in strong background in Point of Care Testing.. ASCP Certification. Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology/Biological or Life Sciences. Anticipated Pay Range: The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as - $85,680 - $108,665. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents SBUH's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, all UUP positions have an additional $3,087 for location, Some positions offer shift differentials for Night ($10,000) & Evening ($15,000) as well as $575 for inconvenience for positions not on day shift.
