Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
Integrative Community Studies ( ICS), also known as Beyond Academics, is a program for students with intellectual disabilities who are interested in furthering their education. Integrative Community Studies is a four-year certificate program - awarded by UNCG's Office of the Provost - that emphasizes self-determination, life planning, and career development. Enrolled students develop a personalized college support plan to optimize their curricular and co-curricular experiences while enrolled in the program of study.
Position Summary
The Student Resource Coordinator ( SRC) for Integrative Community Studies ( ICS) oversees supports provided to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position will provide direct support 1:1 to students as well as be involved with onboarding, and professional development of volunteers, interns and graduate students who provide support to students.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters in Human Services related field or BS plus 3 years experience in degree area. Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in Post Secondary Education for Students with IDD.
