- Read, interpret, and work from released schematics and drawings as well as from uncontrolled documentation. Interpret design intent and provide feedback to engineering to complete documentation
- Perform validation and testing of various electronic components using equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and test racks
- Perform integration on a full system suite of electronics to include on-vehicle, ground segment, and ground support applications. Additionally, document the results in a clear, precise, and complete manner
- Assemble and repair high quality wire harnesses, test racks, junction boxes, and associated components
- Support the development of avionics hardware and procedural improvements via design, test, fabrication, and work instruction efforts. Self-monitor progress and achieve on time delivery of all work
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 3+ years of experience manufacturing wire harnesses or electro-mechanical sub-assemblies
- 2+ years of experience using electronics equipment (e.g. DMMs, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, power supplies, DAQs, etc.)
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in aerospace, aviation, military, or other high-reliability industry
- Skill in operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Prior or current IPC-A-620, NASA 8739-4, J-STD-001, or SpaceX AV1200-4 certifications
- Basic knowledge of electronics theory and principles
- Experience drafting or modeling in a 3D environment
- Experience using schematic capture applications
- Experience with Atlassian tools including Confluence and JIRA
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
- Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and climb up and down ladders. Bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching are generally required to perform the functions of this position. Physical dexterity and general fitness are a must
- Willing to work in extreme outdoor conditions - heat, cold, & rain
- Ability to work at elevated heights.
- Must be able to lift 25lbs. unassisted
- Some travelling will be necessary - 10%
- Ability to pass NASA-STD-8739.6B Section 5.7.6 Vision and Color requirements
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Pay range: Avionics Integration & Test Technician/Level 1: $23.00/hour Avionics Integration & Test Technician/Level 2: $28.00/hour Avionics Integration & Test Technician/Level 3: $33.00/hour Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
