Applications Systems Analyst role!
The
Applications Systems Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment with business goals and objectives. Collaborate with the internal stakeholders to design and implement the Institute's cybersecurity-centric digital library, associated systems, and McCrary-branded product offerings that rely on the digital library.

Essential Functions |
Guide the technical development of web and digital repository systems, ensuring alignment with the Institute's objectives. Participate in the selection, design, implementation, maintenance of technical solutions and platforms, providing insight from a design, usability, maintenance perspective.
Perform the daily and regular maintenance and security of the Institute's digital properties, ensuring their optimal functionality and security. Identifying and responding to all website security breaches. Ensure the websites are protected by enabling the appropriate security measures. Provide technical oversight to the application of and compliance with technical standards such as code reviews, unit testing, and security reviews.
Contribute to the visual design and user interface of various other digital products for the Institute, including the products above as well as video productions and report generation. Own the creation, implementation and management of design concepts across websites and landing pages as well as email and social platforms. Manage multiple projects to meet timelines and intended objectives, all with high quality standard.
Actively monitor the Institute's digital properties, troubleshoot issues, and ensure continuous and seamless digital presence. Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure that programs, applications, and systems meet business and technical requirements.
Design and manage the templates of all email products sent by the Institute, ensuring design consistency and brand alignment. Maintain consistent visual standards established in Design System and keep living Design System and documentation up to date. |

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with 3 years of relevant IT experience to include systems analysis/programming in a business or university setting.
OR
Associate's Degree from an accredited institution with 7 years of relevant IT experience to include systems analysis/programming in a business or university setting.
OR
High School/
GED General Education with 11 years of relevant IT experience to include systems analysis/programming in a business or university setting. |
Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications
Minimum Skills and Abilities |
Candidate must possess sufficient technical knowledge to effectively oversee the implementation and maintenance of web systems.
Ability to maintain digital properties post-launch, ensuring they remain secure, functional, and up-to-date with the latest web standards and practices.
Basic understanding of web and database development practices to oversee and guide and maintain (post launch) projects.
Familiarity with front-end development technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Demonstrated experience in web design with a strong portfolio showcasing both aesthetic sense and user interface design.
Ability to clearly communicate design concepts and their implications on usability and accessibility to non-technical team members, ensuring a shared understanding.
Knowledge of advanced trouble shooting, intermediate client relations skills, persuasive communication, formulating and contributing ideas, and quality assurance methodologies.
Advanced understanding of the business environment of a large university system, including an in-depth understanding of the University systems, its policies, and its operating procedures.
Current knowledge of relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment and/or systems.
Must possess project management skills and the ability to work within a matrixed environment if necessary.
Ability to explain technical information to a non-technical audience.
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. |
