Job Summary |
This position provides and delivers advisory/technical assistance to employees and students to guarantee swift resolution of issues. This position will also offers aid for in-class technology, student computers, printer systems, plotters, and faculty tech needs, encompassing the setup and tuning of classroom elements as well as the configuration and diagnostic of client hardware. Alongside this, the role will collaborate with the
APLA End Point Support Analyst to identify technological challenges and devise solutions aligning with the School's objectives.
Temporary Employment Services (
TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university.
TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
- Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
- Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
- Assistance with special projects
- Seasonal work
- Emergencies

Essential Functions |
The role involves providing support to both employees and students for desktops/printers/plotters along with classroom technology, which encompasses:
- Upkeep of classroom technology; this includes updating workstations, maintaining projectors, and addressing issues during system downtime.
- Identifying the root causes of issues by conversing with users and collaborating with internal support teams or vendors to rectify these issues.
- Replenishing consumables in our array of printing areas when depleted, which includes large format plotters.
- Offering immediate technical help to students and staff during business hours for software and equipment crashes.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Associate's degree in information technology or similar field
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Background in IT

Software Experience
CAD Software- 3D Modeling Software
- Office 365
MMD Management (Jamf or InTune)- An understanding of Enterprise Networks (Active Directory)
