Job Summary The Development Officer will utilize CRM software, perform analysis and extract data generating reports for the purposes of executing fundraising events and donor engagement. This person will also initiate all aspects of special event software to ensure the goals, strategies and outcomes for campaigns are met. They will provide administrative level support to leadership through CRM and scheduling tools to coordinate and execute daily activities and events Essential Functions 30% - Extracts data from division wide data base for the purpose of campaigns specific to donor engagement and fundraising events 30% - Through the utilization of data analysis and scheduling tools provides administrative level support to leadership for daily activities and events 20% - Performs analysis and prepares reports in CRM software and implements best practices in special event software to ensure timelines and strategic outcomes for campaigns and other development initiatives 20% - Provides professional level support and guidance to other campaign team members and volunteers related to fundraising and donor engagement activities. Maintains liaison with other administrators and outside organizations Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in marketing, communications or related field and two (2) years of experience assisting with and/or coordinating various fundraising campaigns and activities. OR Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in marketing, communications or related field and four (4) years of experience assisting with and/or coordinating various fundraising campaigns and activities. OR High School Diploma/GED and six (6) years of experience assisting with and/or coordinating various fundraising campaigns and activities. Desired Qualifications A. College degree or college level classes in Business, Marketing or Communications. B. Two (2) or more years experience as an administrative assistant in a professional setting. C. Two (2) or more years experience working in a fast paced environment. D. Two (2) or more years experience facilitating activities such as scheduling appointments and meetings E. Two (2) or more years experience working with CRM systems Special Working Conditions Travel to campus during interview/selection process will be at candidate's own expense. Will be required to travel or be assigned to all MCCCD locations. May require numerous evenings or weekends. May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen.
