Description

Position Summary:

The Customer Relations and Inside Sales Representative is a key member of our Wholesale team and plays a vital role in delivering top-notch customer service to our Wholesale customers. This position is responsible for meeting operational and logistical deadlines to support our extensive network of major and full-line independent customers. In addition to customer service duties, this role also involves inside sales responsibilities for key accounts, focusing on annual growth strategies. The ideal candidate should be able to effectively communicate corporate strategies, develop tactical business plans, and manage and grow key accounts and independent retailers.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

Inside Sales Territory:



  • Build and nurture strong and profitable customer relationships with store owners, buyers, and managers.
  • Secure placement, displays, and promotional programs with retailers.
  • Develop and execute a detailed sales call plan.
  • Establish effective communication via email, telephone, and mail to execute sales objectives.
  • Email business updates and sales objectives to accounts with follow-up telephone calls within 5 days.
  • Promote MacKenzie-Childs product portfolio to existing customer base.
  • Keep customers informed about promotional offerings and new items.
  • Offer solutions to customers to enhance their retail business.
  • Provide tools, including POP and training materials, to accounts (set up and execute the process).
  • Maintain account activity levels to achieve annual goals.
  • Maintain a database of contacts and an accurate phone log, including calls placed and call results.
  • Key category account prospecting, vetting, scouting, and opening of new accounts in the domestic United States.



Customer Service:



  • Support all aspects of account needs, working independently and collaboratively with internal teams.
  • Ensure timely receipt of order confirmations and provide tracking information for shipments and RMAs.
  • Coordinate sample distribution to accounts for advertising purposes.
  • Develop relationships with clients requiring help and servicing to each account.
  • Manage relationships with accounts while adhering to MacKenzie-Childs guidelines to ensure general business operations are met.
  • Respond promptly to emails and phone calls from customers.
  • Provide sales feedback and attend Atlanta Market twice a year.
  • Assist with pre-market preparations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Department Manager and Sales Team to deliver the best possible customer service.



Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:



  • High school diploma or GED
  • Data entry
  • Microsoft applications



Special Requirements:



  • Mandatory travel to tradeshows semi-annually



Location: Remote in Dallas TX, or Atlanta GA

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment with a focus on meeting deadlines.

Equipment Used:

Computer, printer, telephone, photocopier, fax machine, scanner, and calculator.

Software: Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and NuOrder, Scene7, Netsuite

Physical and Mental Requirements:



  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, crouch, kneel, bend, climb, use fingers to grasp, handle, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.
  • Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move objects.
  • Light mental and visual attention required for performing work where there is some variety but actions taken and decisions made are limited to few possibilities. Work requires some coordination with others.



Environmental Conditions:

Work is performed in a typical office environment where there is no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
