LSSI is hiring a full-time SASS Counselor/Case Manager-Mobile Crisis. To screen children and adults for psychiatric hospitalization and provide intensive short term services to ensure stabilization. The paid training you need to learn, grow, and succeed! Essential Functions: Assess children, Adolescents, and/or adults in psychiatric crisis for hospitalization and facilitate hospitalization at location of need. Provide crisis counseling and coordination to help stabilize current psychiatric crisis if client does not meet criteria for inpatient hospitalization. Maintain client record in the electronic health record in accordance with licensure and accreditation standards. Certification in IM CAT and/or IM CANS. HFS required trainings (De-escalation, Crisis Safety Planning, Mobile Crisis). Provide training to new staff on mobile crisis screening events as needed. Position Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social service field, Master's degree preferred. Ability to work with clients in the community. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must pass a State of Illinois criminal and DCFS background check. Valid driver's' license, proof of valid vehicle insurance, and access to a fully insured vehicle.
