The College of Agriculture at Kansas State University is seeking applications for a dynamic and proactive team member to support the delivery and reporting of our programs. SIIL functions as the Management Entity for this USAID funded project, supporting a country directed research portfolio of projects on sustainable intensification in seven focus countries, namely Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Malawi, Senegal, and Tanzania.

  • Manage key logistical efforts throughout the year, organizing scientific meetings, conferences, and other workshops in the U.S. and overseas in support of activities.
  • Develop travel notifications, ensure travel reports are produced and catalogued and prepare requests for any capital purchases. The PA will manage international trainees using the Training and Exchanges Automated Management System (TEAMS).
  • Create communication for target audiences, monitoring, and reporting for projects and initiatives, as well as developing and implementing key knowledge management strategies. Gather and compile technical information for newsletters, targeted scientific reports.
  • Finalize reports for the SIIL award, meeting all reporting requirements, developing success stories and highlighting project outcomes.
  • Produce monthly updates on USAID activities for programs in Ethiopia, Haiti and Guatemala.

Why Join Us:

The SIIL has been in operation since 2014, and in 2024 will begin to prepare final reports and documents as SIIL ends its decade of work. However, the SIIL team will also continue with new projects, including work in Haiti and Guatemala. This is a full-time, on campus position with the possibility of yearly renewal, as funding is available. However, SIIL has a long history of project funding, and so multiple-year employment is highly possible.
