Lecturer will teach FEMST 171A (Winter) and FEMST 171B (Spring) for a total of .22 FTE in conjunction with the Center for Feminist Futures https://feministfutures.socialsciences.ucsb.edu. Lecturer appointments will have the possibility of reappointment, depending upon performance and programmatic needs. The successful candidate will be expected to teach this two quarter course sequence that integrates field-work experience with an academic seminar focusing on the historical, sociological, and political issues surrounding community services for women. Each student will be placed as an intern in a community agency for 1-2 quarters. The Program is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through teaching and service. The Lecturer position is a 22% position and we encourage anyone to apply also for the 78% Academic Coordinator position in the Center for Feminist Futures. Applicants must possess a minimum of a Master's degree or equivalent foreign degree in Feminist Studies, or a related field. Additional qualifications

Have two years of teaching experience in a college or university. Preferred qualifications
Applicants with a doctoral degree in Feminist Studies or related field are preferred. Experience teaching upper division feminist studies courses and/or engaged learning courses. Experience in online teaching and learning, teaching underrepresented minorities and inclusive classrooms will also be considered Application Requirements Document requirements
