Responsibilities

Valley Hospital Phoenix is seeking a dynamic and talented Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) - Nights staff member to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals.

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) functions as an active and integral part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients. The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor each patient's location per the Observation Policy and Procedure.
  • Utilize sound judgment during assessment and observe and documents any changes in a patient's appearance, behavior or ability to work toward treatment plan goals.
  • Follow the therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team for each patient
  • Comply with the established policies and procedures requiring a safe, clean and therapeutic environment

Location: 3550 East Pinchot Avenue, Phoenix, AZ

Schedule: This is a full-time, Night Shift position working (3) 12-hour shifts per week. NIGHT SHIFT STARTING AT 7:00 PM

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED as well as a combination of behavioral health education and work experience totaling 4 years
  • Current CPR or BLS certification
  • Successful completion of (SAMA) including restraint and seclusion policies, within 30 days of employment
