Application Window Open date: August 22, 2024 Next review date: Friday, Dec 13, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Sunday, Feb 22, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description PHYSIATRIST ACADEMIC POSITION The University of California, San Francisco, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is recruiting for a board- eligible or board-certified Physiatrist with experience in leadership, trauma and neuromuscular care, including, but not limited to electrodiagnostics and chemodenervation in an academic or multispecialty setting. The candidate will be responsible for the medical directorship for rehabilitation services at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center and Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center, both entities of the San Francisco Department of Public Health. The candidate will be expected to collaborate in clinical and/or basic research as well as publish subsequent results in peer reviewed journals. The candidate will also play an integral role in teaching clinically relevant topics for residents as well as medical students and fellows. Requirements:

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5: https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/2024-25/oct-2024-scales/t5-summary.pdf. The minimum base salary range for this position is $149,700 - $393,200. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf) which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
