The Engineering Technician supports and assists the engineering, quality, and manufacturing departments. The Engineering Technician is responsible for testing, analyzing, and troubleshooting manufacturing procedures and processes. As a liaison, the Technician communicates across departments to provide data analysis, resolve quality issues, address equipment issues, train manufacturing team members and implement new processes. As with all employees, the Technician will undergo chemical handling training upon hire and will actively participate in ongoing hazardous waste and chemical handling training.

** Please Note: This is a 2nd Shift Engineering Technician position**

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting manufacturing processes by conducting engineering and procedural control tests

  • Troubleshoots process and equipment technical issues; develops solutions and partners with engineering to implement into production processes

  • Performs equipment preventative maintenance (PM) tasks

  • Runs tests through production lines and assists engineering with evaluation and standardization

  • Perform process control activities such as measuring product or performing tests

  • Monitors manufacturing output and performs failure analysis for engineering

  • Takes measurements for process control and gathers measurement data for engineering

  • Documents new procedures and prepares reports for engineering

  • Responds to data on process control charts, maintains material movement spreadsheets, and reports results

  • Ability to interpret CAD documents

  • Ability to deliver training to members of the operations group

  • Follows all safety measures when handling chemicals and hazardous waste with regard to use, mixing, and disposing

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong math, analytical, technical, and problem solving skills, able to analyze data and processes to identify outliers

  • Proven written and verbal communication skills, able to effectively work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and manufacturing

  • Computer and data entry skills, experience working with MS Office Suite and ability to generate engineering reports

  • Able to work independently as well as with a team

  • Willingness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

  • Ability to pivot to evolving priorities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job

Education and Experience:

Education: AS in a technical field preferred, but not required

Experience: 3+ years of manufacturing experience. Previous equipment maintenance experience preferred, but not required.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
