The Dell Medical School Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, in conjunction with the Seton Healthcare Family, is seeking a board certified/board eligible Psychiatrist to join our clinical faculty and serve as an inpatient team leader in Austin, Texas. We seek a physician who will help our department achieve the goal of working with our community partners to develop clinical, educational and research initiatives that revolutionize how people get and stay mentally healthy in Central Texas and beyond. About the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Our department leads psychiatry education for the Dell Medical School and its post-graduate programs train mental health professionals to become 21st-century leaders in the fields of psychiatry and psychology. Clinical services provide culturally informed, evidence-based care for individuals and families in multiple general medical and specialty behavioral health settings with an active and strong presence in community settings. About the Position We seek candidates who are committed to providing care within a growing community and have a strong record of providing exemplary care and treatment that restores hope, and helps patients live healthier, fuller lives. A clinical assignment will occur through our department's collaboration with Seton Healthcare Family, with the physician providing clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary inpatient team. Primary responsibilities will include providing world-class medicine and clinical expertise to evaluate and treat a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders in an inpatient setting. The successful candidate's appointment within the department requires regular participation in educational activities with medical students and residents. In addition, the physician will have the opportunity to participate in ongoing development of training programs and collaborations that allow for the pursuit of innovative clinical programming and research initiatives.
