Job Description

Associate Director, Employee Listening

Exciting Opportunity at MSK

Do you want to positively impact the employees responsible for treating cancer patients? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, Employee Listening who will be an advocate for our employees by being responsible for the employee listening strategy, research methodologies, and data analysis for all aspects of the employee lifecycle (e.g. recruiting, onboarding, exiting). Additionally, you will be responsible for the administration and analysis of the annual engagement survey. You will be expected to collaborate with senior leadership to deliver insights across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

Role Overview:

    Partner with key stakeholders to create an overarching employee listening strategy for all of MSK.
  • Create a roadmap that prioritizes the listening initiatives and gain support from relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyze data from both active and passive employee listening sources.
  • Build data visualizations and stories that pinpoint ongoing opportunities within each listening initiative.
  • Ongoing analysis of HR Service Center (ServiceNow) data
  • Develop hypothesis and research plans for each listening initiative.
  • Utilize best-in-class employee experience technology to capture and analyze the voice of our employees through continuous listening.
  • Identify additional mechanisms for employee feedback (surveys, focus groups, pulses, ServiceNow, etc) that reaches all represented employees.
  • Deliver the Annual Engagement Survey with relevant benchmarking, including administering organization-wide annual engagement surveys utilizing research and statistical methods.
  • Creating a content strategy for how employees access HR information, which is key to improving the employee experience.
  • Drive a positive employee experience to improve retention and employee engagement/satisfaction.

Key Qualifications:

  • 7- 10 years of employee listening or employee engagement including administering organization-wide annual engagement surveys utilizing research and statistical methods
  • Proficiency in analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to uncover trends and insights.
  • Skilled at guiding the organization through changes based on feedback insights.
  • Adept at planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.

Core Skills:

  • Articulate ideas clearly in both written and verbal formats.
  • Build trust and rapport across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to identify issues based on employee feedback and develop actionable solutions.
  • Effective at gaining the support and commitment of others by engaging them around your point of view and priorities.
  • Flexible in your approach and demeanor to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances.

  • Reporting: Senior Director, People Technology, Reporting & Analytics
  • Schedule: Hybrid, 2 days a week, flexibility to attend meetings at MSK's locations

Pay Range $146,100 - $241,100
