Job Summary:

Manage day to day production ensuring coordination between all facets of the manufacturing process including, but not limited to, Safety, Quality, Productivity, People, Maintenance and Lean activities. Set goals and expectations for your direct reports, provide the necessary tools and support, remove obstacles to their success as necessary, and hold them visibly accountable for delivering results.

Job Duties:



  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate employee, machine, and material resources with the goal of maximizing production.
  • Accomplish manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, monitoring performance, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; enforcement of systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel to maintain compliance with established policies, procedures and standards.
  • Ensure product quality by enforcing compliance to established specifications, control plans, and other quality standards.
  • Provide manufacturing information by compiling and analyzing performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Resolve personnel problems by investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.
  • Completion of the production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems; engaging maintenance and the technical teams
  • Ensure efficient and accurate changeovers and set-ups to job specification sheets.
  • Effectively communicate with workers, management, and other production managers.
  • Authority to stop and/or modify work processes due to non-conformance of containers and/or unsafe working conditions.
  • Report all potential food safety concerns to the quality assurance manager.
  • Various other job duties as assigned.



Qualifications and Experience Requirements:



  • High School Diploma/GED required. Postsecondary education and/or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • At least 5-7 years of documented leadership/management experience.
  • 10+ years in manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal techniques.
  • Possess a positive attitude and great motivational skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized.
